This Is Wing Chun
This Is Wing Chun is the website of Long Island Wing Chun, a traditional kung fu school in Huntington Station, New York. This is a ground-up rebuild of the school’s existing site, designed to feel like a short film about the art. It is a preview build: the school’s current site is still live on its own domain.

The challenge
A martial arts school is hard to explain in text. People decide to try a class after they see how the art moves and who teaches it. The school’s existing website held the right information but presented it like any other small-business site.
Rebuild the site so the first screen shows the art itself, keep every fact and page address from the original, and make booking a free trial class the obvious next step on every page.
What we built
We rebuilt the site from the ground up around footage filmed in class. The homepage opens on a training reel and uses scroll-driven sequences to explain the three ideas behind Wing Chun. Behind it sit full sections for the school’s story, programs, instructors, events, blog, shop and frequently asked questions, with a free-trial request on its own page.
The details that mattered.
All content came from the school’s existing website; nothing was invented, and open questions were listed for the school to confirm. The opening sequence is built in CSS so the first screen appears quickly, and the site is tested across five browser profiles before each release. Email delivery for forms and payments for the shop are connected at launch.
- A film-led homepage with a training reel shot in the school
- Scroll-driven animation that respects reduced-motion settings and falls back to a simpler layout on phones
- Sections for programs, instructors, events, blog, shop and FAQ, each written from the school’s own material
- Individual pages for seminars and events
- A free-trial booking path reachable from every page
- The original site’s page addresses preserved, so existing links keep working after launch
See it for yourself.
This Is Wing Chun is live. Open it on your phone as well as your desktop; that is where most of its visitors are.
